Beginning April 21, 2014, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) updated its website and now allows individuals to obtain both current and historical admissions records online through CBP website.
Since April 29, 2013, when CBP began automating admissions records for nonimmigrant aliens arriving at air and sea ports, individuals were able to view and print a copy of their current admissions record. Once the individual departed the U.S., the admissions record was no longer accessible. Furthermore, individuals seeking historical admissions records were required to file a Freedom of Information Act Request (FOIA) with CBP, which sometimes took months or years to be reviewed by CBP. The CBP website now allows individuals to access both their current admissions record and historical entry/exit data going back five years from the request date.
